Why work with me
- When you're caught up in a difficult or crisis situation, it's hard to see things objectively and make significant decisions. You need to come up with the best individualized plan for your child's unique needs.
- As a parent, I have walked in your shoes. I have adopted children, been a foster parent, helped children deal with learning disabilities, had a child struggle after high school, and experienced the anxiety of giving my child the opportunity to attend a therapeutic program.
- As a teacher, I have worked with learning disabilities, emotionally fragile, school avoidant and at risk youth as well as gifted students.
- As an educational consultant, I do what you don't have the time to do:
- I travel on a regular basis in order to thoroughly research and assess available options. There is no substitute for first hand knowledge.
- As a professional, I develop relationships only with programs, schools and interventions of integrity. Additionally, my affiliation with professional organizations allows me access to nation-wide networks of collective knowledge.
- I can empathetically help families identify and explore the most suitable options based on their unique needs.
Note: I do not solicit or accept any fees, compensation or commission from any camp, agency, program, institution or school. My client is you and your child. I strictly adhere to the Independent Educational Consultants Association Principles of Good Practice.
Testimonials
"I was at my wits end when I found you. My son
was out of control and headed down a self-destructive path. You were so
kind, empathetic and nonjudgmental that I instantly felt hope for my
child. The choices you provided for my son were exactly what he needed.
It was a hard decision, but I'm so glad I decided to send him to a
school that was out of state. He is not the same person today! He is
home, attending school and back on a healthy path. Thank you!!"

"Our daughter is graduating from college
today because of you. She was floundering in our local school -
frustrated, depressed and skipping classes. You found another school
situation that could adequately address her learning disabilities and
she has soared ever since! Thank-you!"
